By downloading, installing, or using BitZen ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

BitZen is a mindfulness and micro-meditation application that provides:

• A space to write and release thoughts
• Animated meditation experiences
• Configurable session durations (60, 90, or 120 seconds)
• Local session history with privacy protection
• Optional Apple Health integration for mindful minutes

All features operate locally on your device with no cloud dependency.

3. Not a Medical Service

BitZen is a relaxation and mindfulness tool. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, or medical treatment. If you are experiencing mental health difficulties, please consult a qualified healthcare provider.

The App makes no claims about treating, curing, or preventing any mental health conditions. Terms like "release" and "let go" are metaphorical descriptions of the user experience, not clinical outcomes.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Using the App in a safe environment (not while driving, operating machinery, etc.)
• Understanding that the App is for personal relaxation only
• Backing up any data you wish to keep before deleting the App
• Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws

5. Privacy and Data

• All data is stored locally on your device
• No personal information is collected or transmitted
• Session history is stored using SwiftData and remains on your device
• Apple Health integration (if enabled) only records session duration, never text content

6. Intellectual Property

• The App and its original content, features, animations, and functionality are owned by BitZen
• You retain ownership of all text you enter into the App
• We claim no rights to your content

7. Limitations of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL BITZEN BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP. THE APP IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES.

8. Age Requirements

BitZen is intended for users of all ages. There are no age restrictions, as the App contains no objectionable content, social features, or data collection.

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the App at any time
• Update these Terms of Service
• Add or remove features and scenes

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. When you delete the App, all local data is permanently removed.
