Privacy policy

What we save, and where

Journeys, collections, photos, signatures, cat identity and settings are stored on your device. With iCloud sync enabled, portable data is also backed up to your private iCloud. Turning sync off or deleting the app does not delete existing cloud backups. Permissions, Screen Time selections and tips stay local.

Microphone and voice

The microphone opens for about three seconds only when you tap the call button. The system's speech recognition checks whether you said your cat's name. Audio is not saved, and the transcript is discarded after use. Nothing goes through a third party other than the system speech service. Without a tap, the microphone never opens. If you revoke permission in system settings, calling falls back to touch and the app remains usable.

Notifications and alarms

Local departure, mail, and return notifications are scheduled only after you enable journey reminders. You may also opt into an occasional daytime greeting. Each type can be selected separately; sleep journeys stay quiet along the way. All scheduling happens on the device, without a push server. See Settings > Notifications.

Screen Time

Apps, categories, or websites are restricted only after you explicitly enable and authorize Screen Time access. Lists are stored locally as opaque system tokens; we do not read usage history or upload the lists. Allowed entries take priority. Restrictions end when a journey ends, you return early, or you turn them off. The system's Device Activity extension handles removal in the background, subject to system scheduling. You can also revoke authorization in system settings.

Weather and location

Weather can come from Apple Weather. If you allow approximate location while using the app, this little world shares the sky outside your window. Without permission it uses simulated weather on the device, without a network connection or location access. See Settings > Weather Data.

Photos and sharing

Instant photos stay on your device and, when sync is enabled, in your private iCloud. “Send it” opens the system share sheet; you choose who receives the photo.

Purchases

Apple processes payments; we do not receive card or bank details. We use RevenueCat to validate purchases, restore access and manage Plus. RevenueCat processes a randomly generated app user ID, purchase history and subscription status, product and transaction identifiers, country/currency, and basic app/device information. It also receives paywall impressions and entry sources for analytics. Apple Ads attribution tokens and campaign information help measure advertising performance. We do not send your cat name, journeys, photos, letters, voice, Screen Time selections or private iCloud content to RevenueCat, and do not use IDFA or tracking across other companies’ apps. Changes and contact

Changes to this policy will appear here with an app update; significant changes will also be described in the release notes. For questions, use “Write to us” in Settings.

Optional services and your choices

Apple processes optional iCloud backups, weather requests, system speech recognition, and App Store purchases under its own policies. Speech recognition may use Apple’s servers depending on the device and language; the app does not require recognition to stay on-device. You can withdraw microphone, speech, location, Photos, notification, Screen Time, and alarm permissions in system Settings. Disabling iCloud sync does not erase backups. Manage stored iCloud app data in your Apple Account’s iCloud storage settings where available, or contact us for guidance. Locally generated letters use supported on-device Apple features or prepared text.

This website uses no analytics, advertising pixels, cookies, or forms. Its hosting provider may process connection information, such as IP addresses, to deliver the pages. Opening an Apple link or your email app is your choice.
